沖縄武道 Okinawan Budo
沖縄は、世界に誇る武道である空手・古武道の発祥地であることは周知の通りです。周知のように空手には幾つかの流派が存在し、ここでは言及しない。総合武道的なものとして、琉球王家の一子相伝武道である御殿手、それから派生した神道流、また琉球舞踊の武術的解釈に基づく琉球古手など幾つか空手とは異なる（あるいは包含する）武道も存在します。古武道、特に棒術に関しては、平良系を始めとして、山根流や浦添市前田地区に継承されている前田棒が存在しています。このホームページでは、空手・古武道を始め、気の技を使う琉球古手について紹介していきます。
It is well known that the world famous Karate and Kobudo are originated from Okinawa. However, there exist more advanced and secret Budo such as Udundhi of Ryukyu kindom family budo, Shintou-ryu, and Ryukyu Khudi（Old Hand) based on Ryukyu traditional dance. In Kobudo category, the Taira line is major one but Yamani-ryu and Maeda-bo, which is trained in Urasoe Maeda area, are also existed. This home page introduces such budo as Karate, Kobudo and Ryukyu Khudi which is using Chi（Ki) techniques.
